Applicant Notified of Boards Decision
- If decision is positive, then Applicant is given unlock code to download UFOC or it is mailed out.
- If Applicant does not qualify, they are notified at this time.
UFOC Disclosed
- Applicant signs and returns Acknowledgement of Receipt and does due diligence
- Review with Attorney and Accountant if desired
Discuss territory desires
- Call and talk to Franchise Investment Counselor and make desires known
- Come to a mutually acceptable agreement

Deposit To Hold Territory
- Complete Deposit to Hold Territory Agreement and submit with $1,000 deposit.

Receive Franchise Document Package
- Sign and return Franchise Documents with payment after 5 business working days of receipt of completed documents
Secure equipment & van financing

Schedule Professional Carpet Systems Academy Training
- Commence search for PCS Employee(s) if applicable, , if you have any questions please contact Brian Hochman at NCC Assessment Technologies at (800) 737-5622). We recommend a Department of Motor Vehicle report and comprehensive physical exam with optional drug screen at your local medical clinic.
Receive Pre-reading material to prepare for Professional Carpet Systems Academy
- Receive and read the Professional Carpet Systems Manuals (do not bring these to the PCS Academy training)
- Receive and read the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey (don't forget to bring the 7 Habits book to the PCS Academy training)
Call your local Phone Company
- Reserve dedicated PCS phone number(s)

Set up direct mail program and CBOSS Telephony system
- Compile your database for direct mail (needs to be in comma delimited format - Call Fritz Thompson for details at (800) 925-5055 extension 32
Receive Professional Carpet Systems Academy Registration Packet
Complete and fax or e-mail back the following forms to (919) 875-9855:
- Registration Form
- Decal Order Form
- Software Order Form
- Uniform Order Form
- Book airfare: Travel Associates at (212) 922-0850 or Agent of your own choosing. (Plan to arrive Sunday prior to noon and leave Saturday morning anytime)
- Book hotel: Ramada Inn at (919) 782-7525 (have credit card available for reservation)
- Optional: Book rental car: A rental car in not required but is optional. Shuttle service is provided by the Motel, and we will shuttle you back and forth during the classes. No service is available on Sunday or evenings however.
Complimentary transportation is provided from the airport to Ramada Inn please proceed to baggage claim area and use hotel courtesy phone to call for shuttle or call (919) 782-7525.
The Ramada Shuttle will also proved complimentary transportation to and from the Professional Carpet Systems Academy Training each morning, please meet in the lobby at 7:00am.

- File for fictitious business name and/or apply for appropriate business license
Professional Carpet Systems Insurance
- Add Professional Carpet Systems as an "Additional Insured" on your General Liability policy.
- Arrange for Automobile Liability, Collision and Comprehensive on your van and equipment prior to deliver. The value of the van with permanently installed equipment is according to which Truckmount option you purchased if any (please see Equipment and Start up Packages for pricing . To ensure proper coverage on equipment, your Business Package must insure "Personal Property Off-Premises/ or In-Transit" for at least the value of the portable equipment package and water damage package*
*Insurance may be arranged with your current agent.
Operation Set Up
- Assess computer needs, we highly recommend that you start your business with our CBOSS system (see specifications under CBOSS Information)
- Take passport photos for PCS Identification Badges (mail to us in Raleigh or have attendees bring to the Academy)
- Evaluate local answering services for best price and service for water damage business
- Assess telephone equipment needs (we recommend a minimum of 2 lines with rollover capacity, 4-6 lines if using CBOSS for telemarketing)
- Determine van storage (cold weather climates require vans with truckmounts to be stored in heated facility)
- Professional Carpet Systems office set up
- If you have your equipment shipped prior to class, practice on your own and family members carpet and upholstery
