Q: Do I have to offer all of the services that PCS offers?
A: No, you must offer Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning, everything else is optional and you may add them when you are ready. Remember you control all of the marketing materials and can alter them to reflect the services you now offer and can change them when you add another service. |
Q: I want all of my area, can I get it?
A: Yes, but be aware that buying a large population all at one time can be expensive. It would be better to start out small and then add territory as you grow. We can give you first right of refusal so that you will always have the ability to protect the area you want. |
Q: What if I don’t like what the franchise is providing me?
A: You may drop the franchise with a 90 day written notice and compete against us. |
Q: Can I continue to use my current company name?
A: Yes, we allow co-branding for a period of 36 months (more if requested). Normally this is done in advertising like yellow pages, etc. by stating, “Formerly Joe’s Carpet Cleaning” or what ever you company name is currently. |
Q: Can I sell or transfer the agreement or franchise?
A: Yes, there is a $1,000 transfer fee. You may sell your franchise for whatever you would like to whomever you would like. You may even move the franchise to a new area should you decide to do so with a small transfer fee and if the territory is available where you want to move to. |
Q: How long of a time period is the franchise agreement for?
A: The agreement is for 5 periods of 5 years or a total of 25 years. We have never failed to renew a franchise. So as long as we are both happy the agreement should last forever. |
Q: What do I get for my franchise fee?
A: You get a territory consisting of 100,000 population, you get the grant of rights for a PCS franchise, including the use of our 28 year old federally registered trademarks. And our outstanding graphics and most importantly, our incredible K.I.P. Marketing program. You get ongoing support for marketing, technical, and management as well as conventions and our Circle of Strength meetings were we meet in franchisees locations and learn from their success.
